What is IVF and its Procedure

In vitro fertilization (IVF) helps with fertilization, Embryo growth, and implantation, and that means you’re able to get pregnant.

How can IVF work?

IVF stands for in vitro fertilization. It is among the more widely known kinds of assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

You take medicine that makes a number of your eggs then the physician takes out the eggs of your own body and combines them with sperm in a laboratory, to assist the sperm fertilize the eggs. They then place a couple of fertilized eggs (embryos) into your uterus. Pregnancy occurs if some of those embryos implant in the lining of the uterus.

IVF has many measures, and it requires a few months to finish the entire procedure.  It occasionally works on the first attempt, but many men and women need more than one round of IVF to get pregnant.  IVF certainly raises your chances of pregnancy in case you are experiencing fertility issues, but there is no guarantee — everybody’s body differs and IVF will not work for everybody.

What is the IVF Procedure?

This is known as ovulation induction.

Once your ovaries have generated sufficient adult eggs, your Physician removes the eggs out of the body (that is known as egg recovery).

You will receive medication to help you’re comfortable and relaxed through the process.  With an ultrasound to view inside your own body, the doctor places a thin, hollow tube through your vagina and to the uterus and follicles that hold your own eggs.

Spouse or a donor — that is known as insemination.  The sperm and eggs are saved together in a unique container, and pus occurs.  For sperm which have reduced motility (do not swim too), they might be injected directly into the eggs to encourage regeneration.  Since the cells at the fertilized eggs split and become embryos, individuals working in the laboratory monitor the improvement.

Approximately 3-5 days following the egg retrieval, 1 or 2 more embryos are placed to a uterus (that is known as embryo transport).   The doctor slides a slender tube through your cervix into your uterus, and then inserts the embryo straight in your uterus via the tube.

Pregnancy occurs if some of those embryos attach to the liner of your uterus.   Embryo transfer is performed at your doctor’s office or in a fertility clinic, and it is generally not painful.

Plan on resting for the rest of the day after your embryo transfer.  It is possible to return to your regular activities the following day.   The hormones make it simpler for the embryo to endure on your uterus.
