British Columbia selects experienced and skilled workers as per the labor market requirement in the province with the help of Provincial nominations.  The BC PNP is the pathway for those who wish to settle in the B.C. province permanently.  Different streams of the provinces are –

B.C. has different programs to help eligible applicants relocate, and the Tech Pilot Program of B.C. is a highly popular and successful one. The program was launched in 2017, and it is designed to help aspirants from the Information Technology (I.T.) sector get selected. It is the foreign tech workers and international students who get wings through this stream. 

Tech pilot is one of the most active programs of B.C., and there are weekly draws that are conducted.  The selected applicants need to have a one-year job offer in 29 specified occupations. The skilled workers should have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application.

The applicants who are selected for the express entry linked stream are eligible for 600 bonus points in the federal point calculation. The applicants are evaluated on personal credentials such as age, language skills, work experience, education, etc. All those applicants who had the highest scores were shortlisted for the provincial nomination. 

Those who wish to be considered for British Columbia province should apply through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams. The applicants should have a BC PNP online portal profile and be registered under the program’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
